The Necklace of Betrayal

Summary

The day before my final exams, my childhood friend, Liam, gave me a cat pendant necklace.

I was happily putting it on when text suddenly floated across my vision like a livestream chat.

[Tsk, tsk. See? Women have no brains. That pendant has a micro-camera inside. Tomorrow, every word she writes will be copied by the side chick onto her own exam paper!]

[Right, right. This is a trashy melodrama, after all. The exam hall doesn't even have metal detectors. The heroine is done for—accused of plagiarism, life ruined, married off hastily, and finally beaten to death by her abusive husband!]
