The New Year's Resolution

Summary

Every New Year's Eve, my boyfriend ditches me last minute for his childhood sweetheart.

This year, I booked the best view, expecting to count down with him.

But before the clock struck twelve, I received a text:

"Stella is being forced by her mom to go on a blind date again. I'll accompany her. You go ahead and celebrate first."

This time, I didn't cry or make a scene. Instead, amidst the sky full of fireworks, I said:
