When I handed in my resignation, my supervisor said, "Mr. Foster promised to marry you once you made director. You're only one promotion away, so why quit now?"

My mind went back to yesterday.
Rain was pouring down, and I was stranded at the office entrance without an umbrella. Mark Foster's new assistant, Rachel Lynch, was stuck there too.
Mark came downstairs carrying a single umbrella. He didn't hesitate before offering to share it with Rachel.
