Summary
On my deathbed, I used my last ounce of strength to lift the water cup, my hands trembling.
But my daughter slapped it away.
"Drink what? If you drink, you'll live a few more days. So annoying!"
"Just die already. I'm waiting for the inheritance check!"
Tears streamed down my old face. I finally asked, "Why? Why treat me like this?"
My daughter rolled her eyes, sauntered over, and whispered the truth:
"Because you're poor. Because you're pathetic!"
"I've hated you since the moment I was born!"
