Summary
It wasn't until they saw the pregnant women and toddlers of the village torn open, their insides spilled across the frozen dirt, that the hunters finally believed me. The wolves hadn't just stayed in the woods. They had come for us.
As the men stood staring at the tufts of wolf fur matted with raw human flesh, these hardened survivors—men I had known my whole life—completely shattered.
"Chief! You told us she was just being a jealous bitch!" one of them wailed, his voice cracking with a primal agony.
