The day the family moved into the new house, my mother posted the floor plan in the family group chat.

The left side of the second floor was my brother's bedroom. The room on the right, facing south with the best light, was labeled Leah's studio. My parents had the master bedroom and a walk-in closet, and even the exact spot where Leah's easel should go was marked out.

I zoomed in three times and could not find my own name.

The only space left over was a small area beside the basement laundry room, blocked off with a dotted line. The contractor had noted it as a temporary partition.
