Summary
On the day of our graduation photo at the pack academy, I took my usual place beside Kieran.
Someone whistled.
“Move over! Leave two spots for them. You wouldn’t split up a pair of future mates, would you?”
I’d grown up hearing jokes like that.
But when Kieran’s arm brushed my shoulder, I still blushed.
He didn’t answer. He just looked at the camera.
As the photographer told us to smile and cheers broke out around us, I heard his voice, low beside me.
“This is exhausting. Can you stop clinging to me?”
My smile froze.
