Where Did My Paycheck Go?

Summary

It was New Year's Day, and a message from my boss, Ms. Evans, pinged in the company group chat: paychecks were in.

But mine was the only one that hadn't arrived.

When Ms. Evans found out, she was cool about it. She just had me confirm my account details and sent the payment again.

Still, nothing.

My coworkers didn't believe me. Thankfully, Ms. Evans was willing to try one more time, right there in front of everyone, so we could all witness the transfer process from start to finish.

And still, my salary never hit my account.
