Open new windows in the Fedora GNOME, this should work on Ubuntu or any Linux distro that uses GNOME. This is one thing I like to do because I like opening new windows on the center of the desktop. Fedora for example opens the windows on the top left. Just enter this code in the terminal and that will make new windows open in the middle of the Desktop in Fedora.
gsettings set org.gnome.mutter center-new-windows true
